Back with another chatot gets box to share! What's inside? :D Here's everything out of the box! Buyee have started using these green envelopes which are quite nice. First is this movie Tomy set! I love to grab sealed stuff when I see it, and this one is in pretty good nick. Then there's this little movie charm! I don't know much about it, but it was up for ages so I decided to finally grab it. I finally grabbed the nanoblock! I couldn't find a chatot single up for sale when I had packages already going, but one turned up at a convenient time. The blocks are so tiny! It took a little while to put together with my shaky hands lol. They give you a spare of every kind of block, which is very appreciated. I could see those tiny things getting lost! One adorable sticker set! I love the little chatot on the swing. I'd never seen this sheet before it popped up, and I spent more than I'd like to admit on it haha. Pleased with it nonetheless! This is a little pokedoll washcloth. The chatot pokedoll got used a lot in the early days — I'm continually surprised (and grateful) it made it into the plush stage. Here's a movie popcorn bucket! I'm surprised how new it seems. Last but certainly not least, I managed to pick up this copy of Pokemon Wonderland volume 8 from July 2006!! Its condition is practically pristine: Here you can see the promo card and sticker sheets are entirely intact. And a couple of my favourite pages! I have a scan of the merch promo page (which has been great for tracking down exactly what I'm missing) but owning it in the flesh feels incredibly cool. There's also a cute manga short story in the back, featured and incredibly sweet version of chatot!
I'm working on getting a new shelf finished so that I can dedicate two to chatot, which means I'll have room to hang a corkboard for my flats in the back. I'm very excited to get that all finished! That's all for now!

I got some beautiful birdie charms thanks to FreckledUnicorn! The third one is a spinning keychain, so the wings "flap" side to side. I got a very lovely parcel today, too! Look at this note! And inside... a very odd find! On ebay I found an empty Kraks booster box featuring Chatot. From my research these are officially licensed. It would also seem this Chatot art is completely unique to this product, which is part of what drew me to it so much. And as they said, they sent some bonuses! An empty buizel wrapper (also appears to be unique artwork) and a French Chatot card! Overall I'm really happy with this bizarre buy.
Got some fun bits to share! Corviknight scale world, flats, and a buizel for a friend's birthday! Corviknight scale world is MUCH bigger than I was expecting. Corviknight scale world is absolutely beautiful! Really heavy and sleek. This is easily the best quality figure in my collection. I managed to find a neat bundle lot of Chatot flats on Y!J which was such a cool find. Flats aren't expensive to buy on their own, but the 300¥ fee on each item really starts to add up. Getting a bunch in one bundle lot meant it was 300¥ fee for the lot! Finally and in really exciting news, I got in my INCREDIBLE custom shiny chatot pokedoll by Emberfallplush! I'm so excited to own my first custom plush, and such a neat one to boot. They chose some really beautiful colours for this boy!
More birds, what's new! American birbs! The throwball's little feet are so cute. I'd love to own one MIP some day!
A few different bits! The first is a playset figure from the following set. It took a VERY long time to find one loose, but he popped up on the Livejournal! Bottom right is the megablok and three metal tags. I can't find any metal tag set lists including Chatot, so I'm not 100% sure where they're from or if they're faked.
Here are a couple of things that came in individual parcels that I haven't posted up yet! This came on the 1st! I saw that there were some of these old European kids figure packs on eBay and it was so nostalgiac seeing one again. As a kid, whenever we went into Tesco my sister and I would go to the toy aisle and beg my mum to let us get a pack just like this. One day I'd like to collect them all sealed as they're just so memorable for me! On the 8th I had my lonely quarantine at-home Darkness Ablaze prerelease. In terms of actually valuable pulls, I got Slowbro V, Centiskorch VMax and Crowbat V (!!). But more importantly (to me!) I managed to pull a load of the reverses that I'd later want to go back and get. This is a very bird filled set, so I was excited for it. Even better though, the following Japanese set Legendary Heartbeat has my two main collections: Rockruff and Chatot. I'm excited for those to drop! Chatot pokédoll charm delivered from Waku on the 7th! It came in a lot with 5 other (intact) pokédoll straps. I'm not 100% certain whether this Chatot is actually from a strap, though, as he has a tiny hole in the bottom which woud indicate he might have come from this strange pen I managed to find a picture of. It looks like if he came from the strap he should have a small hole in his head for the clip to have gone in. I'm not sure, but happy to have him! I've got some more fun bits and bobs coming now, including what I THINK is the Chaatot playset figure, so I'm very excited to get those. For now though, that's all!
Tuesday 21st - Zukan Gachas
On Tuesday I received a parcel containing 9 DPPT era gacha balls with 1/40 Zukan figures! The "Diamond Pearl Edition" balls (of which I got 2) are also known as Zukan DP02. The "Diamond Pearl Dialga Edition" ones are Zukan DP03. From the former I was especially hoping to get the Starly set, and also wanted the Turtwig set. From the latter I wanted the Eevee/Leafeon/Glaceon set and the big Dialga figure. I looked the balls before I opened them to see if I could catch a glimpse of what they were; I was able to determine that there were 2 Budew sets and 1 Buneary set, so I left those sealed for my collection. I opened 2 then and there and got the Mantyke set and the Eevee set. I filmed the opening of the remaining 4!:
â Wednesday 22nd - Parcels
One parcel from a fellow collector and one from Japan came in on Wednesday! My collections right now are all over the place, lol. But I (finally) got the corviknight plush, the new rookidee plush, the murkrow fit and cafe mix starly, as well as the galarian zigzagoon pin set and corviknight moncolle from the Pokémon Centre. Then from FreckledSamurai I got the 2012 leafeon I Love Eievui plush, two rockruff charms I was missing, a centre promo postcard, leafeon, glaceon and shaymin kids, and a leafeon candy figure. They were selling a lot of this stuff at really reasonable prices, so even though a lot of these aren't my main collections I couldn't resist grabbing them for the price. My very little leafeon collection has been bulked up a bit!
I got this little guy in the post on Saturday! When I saw the little parcel I had no idea what it was - I ordered this from eBay back in April, so I'd just disregarded it as lost at this point. Lo and behold, he turned up! I don't have any base or standing sticks for him, but that's fine. I like him just fine as he is (:
In my defense COVID-19 happened and getting things posted from Japan became a pain. :( This is a picture of stuff on June 6 that had come in pieces for a couple of weeks leading up to it! Fellow collector Perritbear was kind enough to middleman a loose WCT rockruff for me from US mercari. In the parcel they included a bunch of fun food wrappers that featured rockruff from the Alola era. Also picked up a couple other rockruff figures I needed, and I now officially have all rockruff plush and figures! Three of the best (in my opinion) chatot plush: of course, the pokedoll, a banpresto keychain and a 5" banpresto plush. The latter of which was an entire can of worms unto itself to achieve. I spotted it in a huge $200+ lot on JP mercari and since I'd been looking for this guy for a while... I just went for it. That's definitely the most I've spent in one go lol. Luckily a lot of other collectors needed other stuff in the lot, so it was worth it! As life so happens though, about a week after, the chatot plush showed up for a really decent price on ebay... That's just how it goes, I guess! Other than that, there are a couple cheap eevees I found on Y!J and JP mercari. Eevee is a pokemon I love but could never even think about collecting to completion. That being said, in its multitude of plush are some that I personally really love and have kept an eye out for at a good price. Here are three of them: the modern pokedoll, the laying I Love Eievui and a canvas eevee. A smaller parcel of gets from July the 11th. One of each regular chatot kid plus one clear, a couple of chatot charms, and a corviknight kid. Nice! |
