I have a little bit of a mix-and-match bundle to post about today! I have some pieces that arrived from Japan very recently, some from a couple of months ago, and some pieces that I ordered to a friend's house in Germany in October 2022 that they then weren't able to send to me until now!! One of the last nine items on my "rares" hitlist, this keychain came in a big bundle with a bunch of others, and thankfully still as new with tag intact. Entei is one of my side collections, and I don't know a lot about the pieces available really. I would assume this is some kind of Get collection candy figure, given that this was one of the ones that came from Germany, but it could be anything! These rubber stamps were also from Germany. I've never seen them before! A little bundle of retsudan stamps. Of course, my reason for picking the bundle up - my boy Chatot was in the lot! This is another thing that I've seen show up very rarely, so I'm very happy to have it, and in brand new condition. This is one of the aforementioned Get collection candy figures. I own one already, but they're so hard to come by that I just grabbed it as it was 1 euro. It looks very similar to the Tomy Chatot figure, you'd be forgiven for mistaking the two. Some cheap Zukan figures. Staravia is missing its wings so I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with it yet! Leaflets of a Get collection and a tomy hanging figures collection. These will be scanned at some point. This one is also from Germany, but from a separate sller from last month. I own this figure loose, so it's lovely to have it in packaging. Some new releases! Pokedex charms of Squawkabilly, Wattrel and Kilowattrel. The medium Rockruff kutakutatatta! He's so big for being a medium size. This is one of my favourite plush series, the Eevee being one of my favourite plushes overall, so I was really excited that Rockruff got one! I can't wait to get hold of the small version, but he was sold out. The I Choose You! Tomy Wattrel plush. It looks VERY derpy from the front, but I was very happy Wattrel got a plush at all - sometimes the starting birds don't get so lucky. A few recent cards I hadn't gotten yet. The art rare is INCREDIBLY cute. I'm planning to keep one in my folder and then one in a display on my wall. All the gets from my Japan parcel!

(Received 11/04/2023, opened 26/05/2023, posted 16/07/2023) Working through my parcel backlog. I really love to get parcels and save them for a rainy day.. and then keep saving them... but I'm finally working through these! Today we've got a couple of bigs ones. Inside the boxes is a lot of bubble wrap! One of those big swathes held these two! Two plush in a cheap lot. I've considered collecting both of these guys and I really love this Banpresto Nickit plush, so this was mostly an impulse purchase. Inside these little cardboard boxes are sets of stickers called "ポケモンバトルピースコレクション" or "Pokemon Battle Piece Collection". As I understand it these are little sets of stickers that come from a gacha machine. These chatots are a bit warped, but nothing that some flattening won't fix. This tiny guy is a repainted Scale World Starly. Unfortunately I've lost the listing to give credit to the artist! :( But he's repainted to look shiny! I missed a repaint by a professional artist called kikuryo626, but this one popped up by a self-proclaimed amateur, and I couldn't resist grabbing him. A little box...! Google translates claims this says "thank you very much. If you have another chance Thank you for your support." Another repainted Scale World figure, this time it's Pidgey. The artist behind this one is by the aforementioned artist, kikuryo626. A couple of game handbooks! These are the usual for me - they showed up cheap, and in really good condition. Colosseum is my favourite Pokemon game of all, so I really wanted it. Fun little tidbit, I impulse bought them at night and my phone was on black & white mode, and I didn't see them again until they arrived. The colour of the Colosseum guide was a shock to say the least! The Colosseum one even came with its obi - you should know by now that that's very exciting for me!! That was parcel #1 done, so now onto #2! ![]() Another little box with a thank you note - you can guess what that means! kikuryo626 painted another Starly! Despite having one from the other artist, I really wanted this one too, so I just went for it. They're both really lovely, but you can tell an airbrush was used on this one; the paint job is super smooth.
(Received 17/04/2023, opened 12/05/2023, posted 16/07/2023) I've got a couple of parcels saved up for an opening, so let's do that! Inside the parcels... are smaller parcels! Inside the cardboard box are a few small things. First up are a couple of Tomy Shaymin figures. These were just extras as part of a lot with a couple of flats which we'll see later. This is a set of Banpresto pair keychains. If you've been a follower for a while, you might remember that the Chatot/Beedrill keychain was one of the last few things I needed for a matter of years, but I managed to get one not that long ago. As is always the way, a lot cropped up not long after and at a very reasonable price for the entire set, sealed... and most importantly to me, including the leaflet that came with them. I asked the seller if they'd send the leaflet if I bought the lot, and they said sure - so here we are! I'm never opposed to getting a sealed copy of something even if I already own it, so this was a win-win for me. Next up are some sealed Tomy movie keychains. Essentially the same applies to the above as to why I grabbed these - they were cheap, and they came with the leaflet. As an unfortunate soul afflicted with a desire for even leaflet completion, I picked them up! This next piece is something that, while cool to own, I'm actually not sure if I'm going to keep yet. This is the shiny Hasbro Tyrogue figure. Back in the early days of my collection, one of my desires was to own all of the shiny figures out in the world. Unfortunately here in the year 2023, I have very little room to myself and very little money to spend on weird little hobbies and collections. I picked this guy up on a whim because he was exceedingly cheap, in part due to the damage, but now I'm not really sure if I'll be keeping him around or sending him out with the rest of the shinies I'd accumulated. It's something that makes me very sad - all these items are ones I have a deep love for and it deeply stresses me out to think that they're the kind of rare that means I might not ever own them again. But being a young adult going out into the world is a lot harder with boxes and boxes of baggage. This Tyrogue is kind of a weird encapsulation of that; I've just received him and now I have to decide if I get to keep him. Well, anyway. One collection I know I'll be keeping for the foreseeable future is my Chatot collection, so I have no qualms picking thi sup. This is an Advanced Generation manga, from my understanding in essence the same as the plot of the Prince of the Sea movie, complete with its original obi! Picked up for obvious reasons - the traditional illustration of Chatot on the back is adorable. In all honesty I'm not 100% sure what these are - as far as I can make out, I think they're some kind of noodle flavouring variety packs that come with a coaster? Though I've no idea why they're so long. One for my weird food collection lol. Last but certainly not least, these are a bunch of flats! Most of these I don't have exact details on at the moment, so I'm going to have to go through and research them when I scan them for my pages. The one in the very back is a Mcdonald's placemat of some description. I really love all the glittery stickers. :)
That's all for now! I got a parcel today! I'm calling it little because of the amount of gets, rather than size, haha. What could be inside...? First up is this movie keychain set! I've been waiting for one of these to pop up forever, and I by chance checked the movie name search on a sales website I don't check very frequently. There it was, just sitting there! I grabbed it straight away. The cardboard has some bends and creases, and Manaphy has some bad yellowing. Thankfully, Chatot itself is in very good condition. If these weren't so rare now I would look for one to open to put on my keychain, it's very nice! The second item is very exciting! This is the Staraptor (and Grotle and Barry) scale world figure! Staraptor is as lovely as I'd hoped. The other two are so nice I'm almost tempted to keep those, too..! I really love this figure. It's matte and very heavy. The eyes, head and feet are much larger on this figure as compared to the KING Studio Staraptor figure. This makes the proportions quite different, but I don't mind! I enjoy both interpretations. I'll do a full comparison post once I have the Starly Bandai Scale World in hand.
Until next time! This post is copied directly from PKMNCollectors Livejournal, as the Spring Secret Swap takes place there! I was extremely excited to receive this parcel in from my PO box! It looks like Chatot was pretty excited too, especially given this drawing on the box — check under the cut to see what's inside! (WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY!) Some more of my favourite birdies! They're having a little chat :3 Opening it up... wow! Look at all these beautifully wrapped gifts! First things first was this incredible card! It turns out my gifter is none other than nerucake , thank you very very much indeed! This artwork featuring my favourites being little mailbirds is so goshdang adorable! They all look so happy, and the cloud textures are simply stunning. Then, inside was another happy little Chatot! Look how puffy and cute he is. I knew I was in for a treat as soon as I saw this beautiful art :) Inside was also a little mini-envelope with a bunch of stickers inside! (I accidentally covered Entei's face in this picture, oops.) Okay, onto the pretty parcels.. what could be in the first one? First up is this acrylic charm! This is an older charm from the Pokémon Center that I never grabbed. The Chatot in it looks like he's having a blast. It's still sealed and everything, I can't wait to hang it from my board! Next is this gorgeous Berry Forest pass case!! I love the floral designs of this promotion, you can see the Chatot in the top right. The little button eyes are so cute. Next up is a biggun... Timtams!! I've had various friends from Aus but I've never had the opportunity to try Timtams and I was so intrigued I tried one right away. They're a bit like a biscuit we have here called Penguins, but (don't tell anyone else in the UK I said this) much tastier. Ooh, it looks like Chatot knows what's in this bubblewrap.. Two beautiful trading cards from my wishlist! On the left is the Rockruff character art from a recent set. I could not believe how cute this art was when it came out! And then on the right is a promo Eevee card. Why did I have this one on my wishlist? Well, if you take a look up where Chatot's pointing... There's a little Chatot up there! I'm so pleased to have both these cards in my collection! There is something just so pretty about the silvery borders of Japanese cards, they're going to look fabulous in my binder. This parcel looks fancy! It's all wrapped up, and the washi tape... Is lots of tiny unicorns! So cute! So, what's inside? Oh! My! GOODNESS! These are some little handmade clay pins of all my bigger collections. I'm going to admit something: when I opened these up, I absolutely started to tear up. The sheer amount of time and care that must have gone into them, all the fun poses, and the incredibly steady-handed painting... Straight away, these are some of my favourite customs that I own. Thank you so much, Nerucake! Some more sweets! Looks like Chatot got to them before I did. I mentioned that I like caramels and toffees, and these are such a treat. I have to admit I laughed out loud when I saw the koalas; a very on-brand sweet! Saving the largest parcel for last, and here it is! It's this really beautiful Forest Life tshirt from the Pokémon Center! Nerucake did actually guess my size accurately, but this will stay a collection piece. Let's play spot the Chatot on this one: There he is! Look at that funny little face. Adorable! Here is everything altogether! Thank you so much again Nerucake for making my first SSS just wonderful. It was such a delight and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it! You've given me plenty of ideas to incorporate into my own gifting MO for next year too!
Until next time! They're finally here! Sinnoh Pokemon Fit! Here are the 7 I bought on release day that just arrived today: Very Christmassy! I got two Chatots so that I can have one on the shelf, and take the tag off the other to use as a travel buddy, I also got some pickups for friends, including a Christmas plush! And I got the Autumn tea tin, since I wanted it when it was released and couldn't justify it, but it stayed in stock. It comes with four choco truffle tea bags and four caramel tea bags. I've only tried the choco truffle so far, but it's very nice! As a treat, I recorded an unboxing!
I received my replacement set! I was heartbroken when this set arrived broken, but getting the intact set has totally cheered me up. Staraptor is a great size and Starly is adorably little. I could not be happier with this set!
I received my KING Studios Starly/Staravia/Staraptor 1/20 scale resin figures, but sadly the Staraptor tail is broken. I'll have a replacement coming soon!
More birds, what's new! American birbs! The throwball's little feet are so cute. I'd love to own one MIP some day!
Here are a couple of things that came in individual parcels that I haven't posted up yet! This came on the 1st! I saw that there were some of these old European kids figure packs on eBay and it was so nostalgiac seeing one again. As a kid, whenever we went into Tesco my sister and I would go to the toy aisle and beg my mum to let us get a pack just like this. One day I'd like to collect them all sealed as they're just so memorable for me! On the 8th I had my lonely quarantine at-home Darkness Ablaze prerelease. In terms of actually valuable pulls, I got Slowbro V, Centiskorch VMax and Crowbat V (!!). But more importantly (to me!) I managed to pull a load of the reverses that I'd later want to go back and get. This is a very bird filled set, so I was excited for it. Even better though, the following Japanese set Legendary Heartbeat has my two main collections: Rockruff and Chatot. I'm excited for those to drop! Chatot pokédoll charm delivered from Waku on the 7th! It came in a lot with 5 other (intact) pokédoll straps. I'm not 100% certain whether this Chatot is actually from a strap, though, as he has a tiny hole in the bottom which woud indicate he might have come from this strange pen I managed to find a picture of. It looks like if he came from the strap he should have a small hole in his head for the clip to have gone in. I'm not sure, but happy to have him! I've got some more fun bits and bobs coming now, including what I THINK is the Chaatot playset figure, so I'm very excited to get those. For now though, that's all!
